How to Connect VOCOM2 Mini via WiFi?

Power on the vocom2 dongle and the lights will be flashing. Find the WIFI signal Vocom2D_******* from the laptop.

Click connect

Input “v2d+ SN num”, SN number is 7 digits which you can find it from the back of the VOCOM2 dongle.

Wifi is setup successfully, then you can go to diagnose your car.

Go to settings to select VOCOM II

Create chassis ID with 1

Enter work order number 23 and click Start Work

Login in with User ID, just click ‘OK’

Select electrical system and model, ok

Diagnose the DTCs successfully

How to Update Vocom II Mini Firmware via WiFi?

Make sure that the vocom2 dongle is powered up by 24V ECU or truck. Low voltage will affect the firmware update.

1.After connecting with WiFi, go to All Programs and then click VOCOM II Configurator.

2.You will see the windows as below. And Click the setting icon as the pictures below.
3.Then choose ‘Advanced’- ‘Update Device Firmware’

4.Click the Start update icon to update

Wait a moment until it is finished.

It will run the Volvo TECH TOOL automatically when the firmware update is finished

Note: After airbag detonation,the error record will be saved in the memory code of circuit board by airbag ECU. If you write the data generated before detonation when the computer hard disk not destroy, then you no need to change the circuit board.
Step1: Enter the Airbag Resetting interface
Choose the relevant model

Step 1: Enter“ECU” main menu
Select the corresponding car model

Step2: According to the diagram
Dismantle the chip and install to ICP Adapter
Click“next step” to go on
Step3: After finish reading data, it will prompt that “it will cover the engine computer data’
then click “next step” to write data into the engine computer

Step4: After all these operations, just need to put the chip back to car

This article is about how to perform 4th generation Mercedes Benz gearbox clone with Launch X431 Pad V/Pad VII Plus X-Prog3 GIII (update software to immobilizer programmer V10.06).

Here we go for the operation guide:

1.Select the Anti-theft programmer software, click [OK] -> [OK] to enter.

2.Connect the Immobilizer programmer as shown in Figure 1, and select 【Gearbox】-> 【Benz】-> 【VGS-NAG3】

3.The current Read/Write data volume is large. To improve communication stability, please use the USB for connection.

4.Click “OK”, please perform the [Connect] function first.

5.Select 【View Wiring Diagram】, disassemble the original gearbox and connect the Immobilizer programmer with harness.

6.Before performing operations of other functions, please first perform the [Connect] function to verify whether the gearbox is connected to the programmer.

7.Click [OK] and then click [Backup complete data] as shown in Figure 8 and 9, to backup and save the internal data of original gearbox.

8.Click 【Disconnect】to disconnect the original gearbox and the Immobilizer programmer.

9.Perform step 5 and step 6 again to connect the external gearbox with the Immobilizer programmer;
10.Click [Restore complete data], select the data backed up in step 7; click “Yes” to write the data of original gearbox to the external gearbox.

11.Here the cloning for gearbox has been basically completed, but in order to determine whether the data of original gearbox has actually been written into the external gearbox, click [Backup complete data], back up the data of external gearbox at this time, and click [Disconnect], and then click the Return button to return to the interface.

12.Click 【Data Comparison】and enter the data comparison interface.

13.Click 【F1】,【F2】to respectively import the data of original gearbox saved in step 7 and the data of external gearbox saved in step 11.

14.Click 【Comparison】, as shown in Figure 20, and finally install the external gearbox on the vehicle.
